This basically means that any girl can be a cover page model :) but it also means that the whole meaning of physical beauty has been shifted, I don't believe that any of the pictures I see on bilboards are real anymore... God bless technology... and still models are anorexic... with this high tech what is the point??!!
Without verification, one can't trust a picture to represent the actual anymore. The tools to change and enhance a picture are easily and relatively cheaply accessible. And actually, that's kind of neat.
i had to watch it twice to believe my eyes... with all these technology, why did they even bother to photograph a real girl anyway? why can't they just create a perfect cyber-girl?
actually why do we even endorse this "beauty" definition when we know that it is an ideal and real people are not perfect?
gosh, it would be creepy to see them mess with my face like that. it's not perfect, but it's me and i wouldn't want to change it in any way. well, maybe bigger eyes would be nice... hmmmm...
Wow, that was unbelievable. I knew about the eye trick in PS but the neck and shoulder thing was new to me. Don't hate me, but I'll have to try that sometime soon on a portrait!
the power of photoshop - and the unattainable image of "beauty" that ads try to push on females from birth - no wonder theres so many people with issues about their looks and do what ever means to try to attain that look even at the cost of health and life. its too bad because I actually think the lady in the video looked better without all that make up to start with. Dove has been doing some nice "awareness" infomercials recently. They seem to be on a campaign of educating people on realities of beauty. nice post!
After traveling all my childhood I have temporarily (for the last 7 yrs) stationed myself in beautiful, unspoilt, city-of-water-and-mountains: Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. A truly beautiful country. Where am I off to next? I don't know yet..

Or God bless Photoshop LOL Yes, EVERY girl/woman can be turned into a cover page model nowadays, very true.
And good point, if they can "erase" those "extra pounds" technically anyways, why starve yourself????
